Is Tallow Safe During Pregnancy?

Many expecting mothers start paying closer attention to the ingredients in their skincare during pregnancy. Because of this, many people choose to be more mindful of what they apply to their skin and often look for simple, nourishing ingredients with minimal additives.

Why Grass-Fed & Grass-Finished Tallow Matters

If you are considering tallow during pregnancy, the quality of the tallow is very important. I always recommend choosing 100% grass-fed and grass-finished tallow whenever possible.

Conventional grain-fed cattle may be exposed to GMO feed and agricultural chemicals, which is something many people prefer to avoid when choosing both food and skincare products.

The tallow used in my formulations is grass-fed and grass-finished, sourced from a small farm in Pennsylvania, ensuring a high-quality and carefully sourced ingredient.

Simple, Thoughtfully Selected Ingredients

Many women prefer to simplify their skincare routines during pregnancy. All of my formulations are made with carefully selected oils and herbs chosen for their gentle, nourishing qualities, while keeping the ingredient lists minimal and straightforward.

Some expecting mothers also choose to avoid essential oils during pregnancy. Because of this, my products are formulated without essential oils, focusing instead on simple ingredients that support the skin without added fragrance.

Can Tallow Help Support Skin During Pregnancy?

As the body changes during pregnancy, the skin stretches quickly—especially around the belly, hips, and thighs. Keeping the skin well moisturized and nourished can help support skin hydration and elasticity during this time.

Tallow naturally contains fatty acids that are very compatible with the skin, making it a rich moisturizer that helps support the skin barrier and keep skin feeling soft and hydrated.

Many women enjoy applying tallow regularly to areas like the belly, hips, thighs, and breasts as part of a simple routine to keep their skin nourished as it stretches.
